What Is Lammas? Why It Matters Spiritually
Lammas (or Lughnasadh) is the traditional festival of the first harvest, celebrated around August 1st. It is a time of both abundance and humility, when we give thanks for what has grown and prepare to let go of what no longer serves. Situated between the Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox, Lammas invites us to reflect on what we’ve cultivated so far this year—and what still wants to ripen.
In the context of ayahuasca ceremony, this energy pairs beautifully with inner work. It supports us in harvesting wisdom from past cycles, integrating it, and planting the seeds of conscious change.
Why Join an Ayahuasca Retreat in Michigan?
This retreat is designed for those who want to work closely with ayahuasca in a sacred, intentional setting that is grounded in earth-honoring practices. Held on beautiful forested land in Northern Michigan, just outside of Traverse City, this location offers peace, privacy, and elemental richness during one of the most vibrant times of year.
Michigan's mid-summer landscape sets the perfect tone for this work—lush greenery, fertile ground, and long golden evenings. It's a beautiful time to drop in deeply.
We believe deeply in making sacred plant medicine work more accessible to those who live in the U.S., especially in regions like the Midwest where travel to South America may not be feasible. Our mission includes responsibly bridging traditional Amazonian healing with modern integrative practices—honoring the roots of the medicine while creating space for healing to take root in new soil.

Our Integration Support: Community, Care, and Continued Growth
Integration is at the heart of everything we do. We don’t believe the work ends when the ceremony does. We provide a layered system of support to help guests process, integrate, and anchor their experiences into everyday life.
Included integration support:
A private Telegram group chat opens 3 weeks before the retreat and continues 2 weeks after. It creates space for questions, shared insights, and connection with fellow retreatants.
A pre-retreat Zoom call one week before the retreat to go over logistics, answer questions, and build energetic trust as a group.
A professional integration Zoom session a few days after the retreat with our professional integrationist, Kate, to help participants begin unpacking their experiences.
A second group integration call roughly one month later for deeper processing and reflection.
Ongoing weekly integration calls, free for anyone who has ever sat with us, facilitated by our dedicated integration specialist.
Access to our private Facebook group, exclusively for past retreat attendees, offering a long-term space for connection and support within what we affectionately call the Gaian Grove.
