Michigan Mid-Autumn (Samhain) Ayahuasca Retreat

UPDATE: This retreat is now full and we are no longer accepting registration forms for it. Sign up for our email list at the bottom of our site to be notified when the next retreat opens up.

Our last Ayahuasca retreat in Michigan for 2023 will be Samhain in Grand Rapids. Samhain is a time when the last of the crops are gathered, the days grow shorter, and nature prepares for its winter slumber. It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and reverence for the cycle of life and death. In alignment with the seasons, Samhain symbolizes the transition from abundance to scarcity. As the final harvest is brought in, it serves as a reminder of the impermanence of life and the cycles of nature. Samhain teaches us to embrace the changing seasons, both in nature and in our own lives, as we let go of what no longer serves us and prepare for the dormant period of reflection, renewal, and transformation.

REFLECT AND REMOVE WHAT IS NO LONGER NEEDED AT THIS SEASONALLY ALIGNED RETREAT.

About Our Weekend Retreats

Our weekend retreats include three ceremonies, one workshop as well as food and accommodations. There are two nighttime ceremonies (friday and saturday night) and one daytime ceremony (Sunday morning) everyone is welcome to stay until monday morning if they would like a bit more integration time. However, if you choose to leave sunday evening we ask that you at least stay until we finish our “family dinner” which is a big meal we make and eat together as a group. This allows you time to be able to drive home and allows us all to connect before the group begins to depart. We also have a workshop Saturday afternoon to discuss the natural cycles of earth and most importantly how and why we should follow them. There is particular emphasis placed on the seasonal mid-point that we are currently observing at our retreat.

Our Staff

We will have 5-6 facilitators in total including Drew & Stormie. They will be available to help both in ceremony as well as throughout the week.

Drew is the Ayahuasquero. He has trained with a family of shipibo elders in Peru and was officially “Donned” by Don Enrique of the Shipibo Tribe in 2018. He has sat in hundreds of ceremonies and has over a decade of experience with the medicine.

You can learn more about our facilitators by visiting our “team” page.

The Team

What’s Included

All food and accommodations are provided. We will have a full-time chef on site to prepare all of our meals. Each Guest will be given a 4 inch foam mattress pillow and blanket for use both during ceremony and to sleep on.

Integration

We focus A LOT on integration, support and community. Every retreat group has a group chat on telegram which begins 3 weeks before the retreat and runs until 2 weeks after. This provides a forum for the group to get to know each other (If each person so chooses) as well as an opportunity for us to answer questions are they arise in a way that allows everyone to learn together.

We also host a pre-retreat zoom call one week before where we go over some last minute details, and answer questions for the group.

Within a few days of the retreat we provide a free group zoom call with a professional integration coach to help give our guests a framework with which to begin to understand their experiences.

Integration is a long process and we know one call isn’t enough, so we have weekly calls available which are held by a licensed therapist and integration specialist, free of charge every week to anyone who has ever sat in ceremony with us.

Lastly, we have a private facebook group which is exclusively for those who have attended one of our retreats. This group operates as a shared space for what we call “the butterfly family.”

Registration

Each person interested in attending must first fill out a Questionnaire (Linked below.) Your honesty on this form is of the utmost importance in order for us to determine eligibility.

Once your questionnaire has been submitted you will be contacted via the email you use on that form - SO PLEASE BE SURE THE EMAIL YOU GIVE IS CORRECT.

If you would like to have a zoom call with a representative from Gaian Rhythm, that option will be given to you before you’ve paid a deposit. We want to ensure that all of your questions have been answered before committing to this retreat.
